Room 21 were so excited that we succeeded in our break out. We had to put our good thinking skills to use to solve riddles and problems to break out of a locked box in 40 minutes.

Last week Room 21 got to make slime! Emma and her mum, Sally did a great job of teaching us how to make it!

In Room 21 we have been focusing on persuasive writing and what amazing writers we have! They put their skills to use and had to convince Miss Tordeich that their doughnut flavour was the one to win flavour of the month for a pretend store. Each doughnut design was unique and creative and well done to Doris for winning the competition!
We brainstormed in groups first with given doughnuts, we had to try and convince our peers that our one was the perfect choice!
Then we made our own design each. Here's some of our publishing...

Broadbean Bonanza
Today Room 21 had our last Enviro Day with Mrs Daniel. We harvested the broad beans we had grown from seed and sketched them. Next we slid them out of their fuzzy pods and tried them raw. They tasted crunchy and nutty.
After that we cooked them in the microwave and popped them out of their pale shells. Then the beans tasted soft and 'potatoey'. Yum!
We're not going to eat all of our braodbeans. We'll leave some on the stalks and when there are big we'll collect them and save them to grow into new plants next autumn.
We ti
pped the pods and shells into the brand new compost bins, where they will break down and make new food for our other vegetables. How sustainable!
