Room 21 love our teach the teacher on Fridays! Last term Andrew shared how to make a volcanic eruption and to start the term off Diamon shared how to make eatable cars!

We also had the Olympic flame come to Room 20, 16 and ours. The whole school came to watch our relays followed off by the Olympic oath we recited. It was a fun day!

Room 21 have also started our new topic in maths, multiplication and division. Students have done extremely well in finding groups of and using arrays to help us solve the answer

We also were lucky to have ASB getwise programme come in and teach us about the importance of banking and saving money. We really enjoyed this and learned heaps.

Last Friday Rose got to share with the class how something can change from a liquid to a solid and a solid to a liquid by mixing corn flower, food colouring and water. It was a fun experiment!

In Room 21 we have been learning about the water cycle. We wanted to see how water evaporates so we did an experiment where we could see for ourselves. First we dipped our hands in water then placed them on a hand towel and drew around our hands, we then watched to see over time what was happening to our hand prints.

This week Loretta got to teach the teacher. She taught us how to make milos. Yum!

We also did a maths problem solving challenge where students were in a team and raced to solve problems. They needed to hand in their task cards in order to receive the other one. Well done to all the teams, especially Olivers team for taking out first place!

Last week we had an exciting week because we got to go to the Art Gallery. Here are a few photos from the trip and a big thank you to the amazing parents who helped, couldn't of done it without you.

Also last week James had the opportunity to teach the teacher. He decided to invent his own stick to the wall shoes. He told the class how he made them and some students were lucky enough to trial them out on the floor. What creative thinking!

This week we looked at our topic water. Students trialed out different objects in a bucket of water to see what would float and what would sink. We made our predictions first then checked to see if they were right by experimenting with them.
