Millenium Centre
Today we went to the Millenium Centre with Room 18. The drive took a very long time because there was a breakdown on the harbour bridge. There was a lot of traffic! We were happy to arrive at the centre and start the activities. We discovered how important life jackets are, and we wore them for some of the events. Kayaking was tricky for some of us, but we all had a go and some of us even tried capsizing! Learning how to rescue people from the water was interesting and quite a challenge. We managed, and everybody had a turn at falling out of the boat and climbing back in. When we were using flippers, goggles and snorkels in a separate activity, we could see clearly and also swim very fast. It was great fun being able to breathe while looking under the water. We learnt how to work together as a group when we went outside for our team building activities,. The challenges were difficult. but, by communicating with one another, we achieved our goals. All in all we had a wonderful time and came home tired but happy. This amazing trip would not have been possible without the help of our wonderful parents. Thank you for coming, climbing in the water, and helping us with our water safety. You rock! Here are some of our photos from our wonderful day.
